My kids love hot cocoa, but I refuse to buy those store-bought packets. Most of them are filled with corn syrup solids, fillers like maltodextrin and cellulose gum, and the “light” versions often have artificial sweeteners like sucralose. Not exactly what I want to be giving my kids on a cozy winter night. This homemade version takes about two minutes and you can feel good about the ingredients:
