My kids’ favorite meal this week was the garlic honey salmon. I put a little extra honey and salt on theirs and they loved it! I made it with forbidden rice and that’s their favorite, so definitely using that recipe again.

This week has been a bit of a whirlwind. I’ve been non-stop decluttering for the move, went room by room through each closet and every random storage space we had things. I donated so many items and I also found a few things I thought were lost during our move out here. There’s something about sorting through your items that makes you really see how much life has happened.

Anthony was gone this week for a quick trip to LA to close out the items in our garage and leave everything for the new owners (I’ll be sharing more about that in my upcoming December update) (November update here if you missed it) and he brought back multiple slices of Erewhon pies! He’s so thoughtful, he also brought me some paint samples from Farrow & Ball in colors I’m planning to test out for the rooms.

I didn’t make it to the farmer’s market this morning. I gave my testimony at our church during the women’s event and after we went to the town Christmas parade with the kids. I’m playing a bit of catch up this weekend, but it has been COLD here. The weather keeps saying snow but so far nothing (we have sleds and snow gear ready just in case!).

We went to the tree lighting last night and it felt like a Hallmark movie, it was so sweet. I love being here for the Christmas season and I’m finally wearing all the coats I would use when we would visit NY… it’s so much fun having seasons. This is the life we prayed for and I don’t want to miss a single moment of it!
