Last week our favorite recipe was the braised beef (pictured above), it was so comforting and flavorful, and I’m making a different version of it I want to try in this week’s recipes. I always add more salt to everything too it’s so good. Baja Gold mineral sea salt is my favorite right now. I talked about my HTMA test (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis) on the podcast episode and sodium was one thing I was low in. I’ve been salting everything extra and adding salt to my water, plus working on some other recommendations from the test. Excited to test again in a few months and see my new stats.

We’re on an impromptu trip and I decided to vlog it. It’s been a while since I’ve done one, but Substack is where I’ll be sharing them from now on (so if you’re subscribed, you’ll get to see it). This shopping list is for when I get back and will carry us over to the weekend. Whenever we’re on a trip, I love having a plan for food when we return. Before we left I cleaned out the fridge and organized it so everything would be fresh when we get home.

If you’re new here, each week I write out 5 dinners I’m planning that are all with good proteins and veggies with serving sizes big enough for lunch leftovers the next day, plus the full grocery shopping list organized by type so going to the farmer’s market or store is more efficient. I also made an egg salad sandwich for the roadtrip, and it was delicious! Leaving that in this week’s recipes at the bottom if you wanted to make it for an optional lunch. So so good! Two cozy weekend breakfast favorites my kids love (and both are made without refined sugar) Sourdough Protein Waffles, Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls.
